I'm Neulife and I'm a singer,rapper and a poet. I was born on December 19,1997 in kaduna where I grew up before moving to lagos to pursue my music career. My love for music started at a very early age writing songs and singing them was all I ever wanted to do despite being brought up in a military surroundings: my father serving in the military and me going to a military school. I started singing as a duo before becoming a solo artist.     

 Magic was my first single track its a song i still deeply connect with cause I recorded that song at a point of my life where things just changed just like magic, it was during that moment I found myself but lost others but I found love in the midst of those stormy moments. "Stay" that song is so so personal to me tbh and no one could had killed those verses better than Rough, that song really brought me into the spotlight after gaining thousands of streams on Audiomack it gave me a lot of drive to keep pushing.

I descibe my music style as surreal music influenced by afrobeats and northern melodies, I let my poetry merge with the beat of the song creating the Neu Sound. It was a huge challenge growing up and pursuing a music career in northern nigeria in the midst of countless conflicts and crisis, yet my love for music goes way back cause I clearly remember singing along to my dads CDs everytime he played them especially when ironing his uniforms. I write daily, I love writing and reading, listening to different styles of music, contemplating and analyzing my thoughts and things that are happening in my life and around me. I had countless diaries and journals filled with lines which later became songs, poems and my thoughts. Poetry is something that comes very natural to me: that's where am honest the most, raw. To me faith is everything, faith in God, in yourself and in humanity as a whole, I've always found my peace in sounds always felt like an escape to me, it still feels like an escape from any hard reality. I'm very sure there are millions out there who feel the same, the need to escape, to shine and find peace. Leaving my comfort zone and experiencing the daily struggles of life really shaped me into a better version of myself, found my peace in music, it gives me joy, hope, purpose and a more reason to live. Personally the music made me step out of the dark, I stepped into the light and that was when I found myself. I've faced many dark phases and break ups, being a sentimental person one who writes alot made it even a lot harder to control the streams of thoughts flooding in, I felt pain and I truly saw the complete view of life. Trust me I've been to the otherside and I've seen how much could change if only we could just see things as they could be, rather than as they are now. Living here all by myself in Lagos, "THE LAND OF OPPORTUNITIES" they say, or rather "NO MAN'S LAND" made me see everything with a more broader perspective, striving to survive and make music same time with no label or sponsor is no joke!!!You know its like suffering and smiling, chasing dreams and surviving,coping with a corrupt government system made the economy so poor that becoming a star this days solely depend on your finances and connections, talent is just a peak to begin with. its a lot more than that trust me its a whole lot but if I can do it and still keep my pace racing on a steady lane despite the storms I believe I'll get there one day and so can everyone who's reading this right now, you got this!!!!.

To me the art of creating starts with the construction of ideas, I want to share my ideas with the world through my music and poetry. Music is the only way to run without leaving home, I deliver my music poetically constructing my lyrics to rhyme with the tempo of the beat, I call them poetic music. 

I'm the "CONSTRUCTOR" and I came I saw & I'll conquer.

Poetic music or musical poetry is a form of words of thoughts spoken from the inner self which flows with the melody of the beat. I discovered that I'm highly constructive especially with the creations of words, thoughts and sounds which makes my art connect even with both the music lovers and the poetry lovers. Life itself is a poetic journey, if you look closely around you'll see that every sound made is musical, music revolves around us all, in the words we speak or sing, sounds, noise, hummings etc are all musical.
